UUID Generator

Generate UUID v4 and v7.

How UUIDs work

A UUID is a 128-bit identifier. Version 4 is 122 random bits from crypto.getRandomValues(). Version 7 (RFC 9562) starts with a millisecond timestamp, so values sort by creation time — handy as database keys.

DevCipher forces v7 timestamps to increase within a batch. UUIDs are unique, not secret: do not use them as passwords or tokens.
