URL Encoder

Percent-encode text for URLs.

How URL encoding works

Characters that have special meaning in URLs (such as & = ? / and spaces) are replaced with % followed by their UTF-8 bytes in hex, e.g. a space becomes %20.

"Component" mode (encodeURIComponent) escapes everything except letters, digits and - _ . ! ~ * ' ( ). "Full URL" mode keeps URL structure characters like : / ? #. "Form" mode writes spaces as +.

Processed locally in your browser — your input is never uploaded.
